Every state the system occupies is a permanent record. Every change is an upgrade or it does not happen.
AXIOM operates as a one-way ratchet: a candidate change is adopted only if it is strictly better — more physically accurate, more formally verifiable, more thermodynamically efficient, or more compounding to the learning flywheel. Anything else is a downgrade, and downgrades are not permitted.
There is no "simplification for convenience." There is no "temporary regression." There is no "we'll fix it later."
Has no root.
Not even for the people building it.
Authority is explicit and unforgeable. Every advance carries a cryptographic signature. Every object is content-addressed under blake3. Every claim a relay makes is verifiable by every client that loads it.
The builders gain no power through creation. Their only leverage is better reasoning.
